SIC (US 1987) :
A string of spectacular holes on the backside makes this well maintained, fair layout fun to play. A creek and a series of ponds increases the degree of difficulty and the beauty of holes 12 through 16. Hole 12, a 355 yard par 4, could be considered the most eye-catching of the 30 year old layout. You’ll need a drive of 230-240 yards to be able to see a pretty pond and creek that cut across the fairway right in front of the green. An accurate short iron is needed to avoid the trees on the left and more water to the right.
Hole 13 is as easy as it is pretty. The 154-yarder is the 17 handicap. The creek should present no problem unless you dribble your teeball. Hole 15 is similar to the 12th. It’s a little longer and the same creek and pond is there to cause you trouble if your shot-making fails.
The 16th is a slight dogleg left. Like most holes at those 6, 089 yard layout, it is fairly short. Trouble lurks with a creek and pond running up the left side. This series of scenic water holes can make or break your round.
Overall, the course plays open, and spraying the ball will not hurt you too much. This mature course is extremely well taken care of by the Nairn family. They know how to operate a first class facility.
